ooh the colors the colors! but this kind of hobby must take a lot of patience?
yes, you're right!
needs a lot of patience!
that's why it's perfect in the train!
because for reading I'm often not concentrated enough,
but for stitching there's no problem!
wow. wie hübsch, wieviel arbeit und wie toll es ist die arbeit deiner mama fortzuführen. endergebnis zeigen! bitte. danke. :)
This is adorable!!! You have a nice hoddy! I wish I were a patient person like you...
ahh lovely, i'm considering to take up stitching myself...hope i have the patience. my mother tried to teach me how to nit and it didn't go very well : )
i imagine all the nice pillowcovers that you can make with stitching with all kinds of homemade designs

I think if I would have started with nothing at the beginning - I'm not sure whether I would have had enough patience. but luckily my mother did more than half of it 25 years ago so I just had to "finish" and the end was always in the sight...

da wird sich meine mutter freuen, wenn ich ihr sage, du hättest gedacht, dass sie das bild entworfen hat!
Your mother is an artist,too!
At first it seems that stitching or knitting are simple, but it isn't true! They need a specially style that every one has not it!
Dear Schanett, are you serious about participation in Vogelschar?(you write about it in your comment on my mama hen's post)
I really like to be a part of it!
p.s.your new banner is lovely!
oh beautiful!!!
well, hello,hello,hello!
guess what, about 10 years ago i had an exhibition about cross-stitching. i´m sure that there is two kinds of patiences- one for cross-stitching (that i have) and another for example for waiting (which i definitely don´t have)
your work is great and i love that you have done it with your mom.the continuity!

my mother isn't really an artist and I think she wouldn't be angry if she would read that... she didn't design the stitching, the pattern was given. but although she had a lot of patience doing such a big part of it!
about taking part at vogelschar: katja agrees! about tine I'm waiting for the answer and will tell you! would be great to have such a big vogelschar-group!!!
mieke:
thanks!
ritva:
that's funny! I exactly have the same capacities: lot of patience for nearly everything and sure for stitching or taking enough time for daily things like doing the washing up with calm, preparing a meal with peace but absolutely no patience waiting for buses or trains (they have to wait for me!) or a date...
ritva:
since a while I'm curious what kind of artist you are!
so, you are ore were sometimes a cross-stitch-artist?
will you show me one of your artwork one day?
you make me :)
Yes, with pleasure! i will show you. as a matter of fact, i´m about to make a website of my works. i have done many different things, love to try different ways of expressing what i feel or think.-in my case cross-stisching was about quantity. i just used one colour at a time. i thought they were kind of prayers. it was a difficult time for me and it helped when i fully concentrated on cross-stitching.
