flower seller

Yesterday on my way home I met two little girls. They had some flowers in a basket and asked me to buy one.
Me: "What do you want to do with all the money you earn?"
Girl: "----- Hm... --- I want to save it ---."

Thus they were typical Swiss!

I could decide myself how much money I wanted to spend.
As I only had a banknote and they didn't have enough change the solution they offered was to take a second bouquet...

jane: sure you can! but they shouldn't stay too long -- saving money can produce problems as well... ;-)

hi hi how cute story;)
when i was a kid, we collected little shells from the beach and sold them on the street. our neighbor lady bought one, she was so sweet.
but i think we spent the money for a candy..

outi: I think I would have made half like you and half liket the little girls from yesterday: a part of the money spending for sweets, the other part into the piggybank! ,-)

Such a great story!
Clever little girls!
in our house, we like to say, "money is for spending".
looks like i've convinced my Swiss husband to be American!

savannah: hello and very welcome on my blog!!
dein deutsch ist sehr gut!! ich habe alles problemlos verstanden!!

ich wohne in Biel, also gar nicht so weit weg von Fribourg! bis wann warst du in der Schweiz?

asphaltandair: you've done a good job! I don't like the idea of saving and try hard to lose my Swiss habit...
but as it workes with your husband there's hope with me as well I guess?!

ritva: that's fine!
if not I would have sent the flower girls to Finland - for a first lesson...
