Nach über 2 Monaten in der neuen Wohnung kann ich mich nun endlich auch ins weltweite Kommunikationsnetz einwählen! Das Telefonieren ist bei meinem Gerät noch ein richtiges Erlebnis! Der Hörer ist so schwer, dass ich auf stundenlange Gespräche verzichten werde und die Stimme am andern Ende klingt so, dass man merkt, wie die Worte und Sätze erst durch dieLeitung kriechen müssen. Und: hebe ich den Hörer ab um das Gespräch entgegen zu nehmen, kann die Person am andern Ende noch das Nachhallen des Klingeltones hören!

lea: yes lea! it works!! the sound is not that perfect but I think we're just fastidious with our modern apparats...
so I like my new phone despite the noises...

I love this phone!! I don't have land phone anymore and only use cell phone... but it's great to have one like the one you have.... ox

the small sideboard I got from the grandparents of a friend. it's an old DDR furniture... not very robust, but I like it anyhow!

natsumi: I was not sure for having a land phone or not. but I realized people don't like calling on my handy for longer chats so I decided to have a land phone and though at least a nice one...
nicki: das ist tatsächlich so! wenn ich die nummer einwähle und den schweren hörer in der hand halte wird mir "der akt des telefonierens" viel bewusster und durch das knistern wird mir auch die distanz viel klarer. man hat nicht das gefühl, die person am anderen ende würde gleich im nebenraum sitzen. eigentlich mag ich das!
wie charmant. das klingt ja echt nach rückkehr in der vergangenheit... wie schön :)

immer wenn ich das telefon sehe, denke ich an meine grosseltern, die genau dasselbe bei der tür hängen hatten...
